The October Country Would Like To Wish A...
Happy Birthday to who is without out a doubt our all time favorite director ever, David Lynch. Best known for 1986's Blue Velvet and television's genre bender Twin Peaks (1990-1991), Lynch has (unbeknownest to most) been working within the horror genre almost from the very start of his career. Perhaps highbrow, but cerebral horror films nonetheless, Lynch is also responsible for the midnight movie cult classic Eraserhead (1976), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992), the dark noir Lost Highway (1997), the beautiful nightmare that is Mulholland Dr. (2001) and arguably one of the strangest, most puzzling films of the last decade, INLAND EMPIRE (2006). Also under his belt, are far more nicer (but no less weird in their own right) films like The Elephant Man (1980), Wild At Heart (1990) and 1999's The Straight Story, not to mention more short films than you could shake a stick at. David Lynch besides being a critically lauded (and hated) film director, is also an animator, writer, composer, singer, actor, painter, carpenter and photographer. David Lynch is 65.
