Scream: The Inside Story

From the makers of the award-winning, flat-out awesome Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, comes the ultimate look back at Wes Craven's horror classic, Scream. Having premiered on the Bio Channel on April 6th, Scream: The Inside Story tackles the ups and downs and trial by fire setbacks that plagued the little slasher film that could in its efforts to reach silver screens. Though there is very little new information here for someone who has ravenously followed the film from inception to completion to bona fide runaway success, it does contain the occasion nugget of rare, never before seen insight (from interviews with Santa Rosa school board members, the very people who vexed the film's production in their small town and started the controversial shit storm over it's "violent nature", to members of said community having their say at a town hall meeting over the same issues). Participants include Wes Craven, Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Rose McGowan, Jaime Kennedy, Mathew Lillard, Patrick Lussier, W. Earl Brown, Eli Roth & Roger Jackson (Ghostface, conducting his interview in character, awesome and creepy) among others with stock interviews of Courteney Cox, Skeet Ulrich and many more adding further context to just what it is that they participated in (a horror landmark, if you haven't been keeping up). The October Country is proud to host the documentary in full (holy browser crash Batman), for those of you without cable (me), those of you who missed it during its initial airing, or those in foreign territories that are not fortunate enough to get the Bio Channel at all. There really is no better way to get pumped for the encroaching release of Scream 4 dear readers, so enjoy.
